"No one truly knows a nation until one has been inside its jails. A nation should not be judged by how it treats its  highest citizens, but its lowest ones.”

About Aurora Lynn Randolph

Aurora is the founding partner for ALR Civil Rights. Aurora specializes in constitutional law and representing individuals who experience abuses of state power. Before running her civil rights law firm full time, Aurora taught law students at nationally-recognized University of Denver Sturm College of Law Civil Rights Clinic where she helped cultivate further generations of highly-skilled civil rights advocates in novel and high stakes litigation.

She believes that everybody has a right to dignity and respect regardless of whether they’re incarcerated or arrested. When the state acts in our name and violates those rights, be it by depriving prisoners of medical care, exercising excessive force during an arrest, or the innumerable other abuses that the state visits on vulnerable people, Aurora uses her extensive experience and passion to secure justice for victims and accountability for the state officials who have harmed them.

Aurora is a fierce advocate. Having had loved ones and family experience traumatic incarceration, she understands these fights on a personal level. Unlike some attorneys who dabble in this area of law, Aurora is a subject-matter expert in the work of representing incarcerated individuals and their families.

Aurora has received numerous Top Lawyer awards, including from the Colorado community as a 5280 Top Civil Rights Attorney, and commendations for her public and pro bono service.

We hope that you don’t need a warrior to fight for you or your loved one, but if you do - you deserve a dedicated champion.
